Over the weekend we had tons of fun. On Saturday we enjoyed getting some projects done around the house. Brian hooked up our AC (he hadn't re-connected it after hooking up the new panel downstairs) just in time for this hot weather! He also fixed some things laying around waiting to be fixed, and of course we did some things around the house outside. The kids don't seem to mind the hot weather ... they sweat like crazy and need tubbies every night (which they love!). Then on Sunday our good friends from church, Dana and Connie came over for a little picnic so it was great getting to spend time with them. On Monday Brian had off work, so that was a special treat! We didn't do too much during the day, but then after the kids naps we went and saw Jared and Meg's new place that they moved into last week. It was great getting to hang out with them for the evening catching up and letting the kids play together. We are very excited they they are now about 45 min. away from us!
Since the weekend, it's been a busy and fun week, especially for me and the kids! For the past few days we were at a cabin in the Newburg area that my Pop-pop and Nana rented for the week. Over the holiday weekend, the adults (Pop-pop, Nana, my Mom and Dad and my Mom's siblings/their spouses) all gathered for some time together and then my Pop-pop and Nana welcomed any of us to come throughout the week. So I packed up the little ones and went there from Tuesday morning through today (got home a little before lunch). The kids had a blast playing in the sandbox and on the swingset and loved getting time to play with Mimi, Gramps, Nana, Pop-pop, and Aunt June (Pop-pop's sister!). The cabin was great ... very spacious and lots to do. As always it's nice to be home and we all look forward to seeing Daddy tonight!
