Birthday Girl

Today our little girl turned 4 years old!!! That is very hard to believe ... where does the time go?? We have had fun celebrating Hailey's birthday (last night and today!) even though Daddy is out of town.

On Sunday, my parents and Matt came for a visit, so we had a great time hanging out with them Sunday evening. Then Monday morning Brian left for Georgia on a business trip so my parents hung out with me and the kiddos through earlier this afternoon. This is one of the weeks that Mom was planning on being here Mon. evening - Tues. morning so on Monday instead of heading to West Chester to help out Jared and Meg, the boys (Ryle and Ben) came here for the day so Jared and Meg could go out. So Mom had all the grandkids together ... what fun! Dad and I had lunch together on Monday so that was a special treat. Then Monday night Jared and Meg stayed for dinner so after that we had cupcakes and sang to Hailey. After the kiddos were in bed Dad, Mom, Matt and I watched Narnia (we own it and I still hadn't actually watched it!). Very well done movie, and it was nice to just relax. Today we celebrated Hailey's birthday (again!) since it was her actual birthday. So they had more cupcakes and today she got to open a few presents from Gramps and Mimi and from Daddy and Mommy. She got a butterfly net, a fun toy called a super skipper, some new 4T footie pj's (we discovered her 3T's are too short a few weeks ago!) and a large bead kit (the kind where you put the little bead things on the plastic designs, then iron it with paper to melt them together to make fun designs!). She's already made 3 of them today! Oh and this morning we had pancakes for breakfast as a special birthday treat! Lots going on! But now we're just hanging out enjoying the warmth of our home.

I'd post some pics of the birthday girl ... but like usual when Brian travels, he needs the USB cable for our camera to charge his blackberry phone while he's away (and I do enjoy talking to him while he's away!). So I'll post those at the end of the week!
