Things are staying exciting as always here around the Herr household. Yesterday afternoon Justin took a spill down the steps (the entire flight) and beat up his face pretty good. He got a cut right above his eyebrow that we kinda figured was going to need some attention due to the depth of the cut. We were having a small party to celebrate Sydney's birthday, and the Herr's got here shortly after everything happened, so Brian's Mom, Justin and I headed to the ER to have them take a look at his head. They ended up using some kind of durabond glue instead of stitches which should give it the same results. They said in 6 months the scar should be minimal. But in the meantime he looks like he was in a boxing match! As usual, he was trooper during everything (although he didn't like us holding him down on the bed while the doctor fixed him up!). We're so thankful that he seems to have a very hard head and also for the Lord watching over our little guy.
Tonight we're heading back to church soon for our Christmas Eve service. Tomorrow we'll spend time doing our family Christmas, then later in the day my parents are coming to hang out with us and to spend the night. On Tuesday, the Mellinger's will all be joining us (Ryan & Hollis; Jared & Meg with their boys) to celebrate with my family. Then we'll be with Brian's family Friday and Saturday. Brian has off all week plus New Years day so he doesn't return to work until Jan. 2nd! The kiddos and I will be loving having him home with us!
